Josh Towers did his best to prove that he deserves a shot with the Dodgers sooner rather than later (possibly even this Saturday?)
엘버커키의 오늘 선발투수였던 타워스(Josh Towers)는 승리를 거두지는 못했지만, 6이닝동안 1실점(비자책)을 하면서 이번주 토요일 또 한 번 다저스가 필요로하는 선발투수자리를 (미약하게나마) 고민하는데 새로운 해결책이 될지도 모른다고 하는군요.

Albuquerque will take a day off before welcoming the Round Rock Express to Isotopes Park on Thursday. Right-hander James McDonald (0-0, 4.97) will make his first start since going on the DL with a broken fingernail on his pitching while taking on Express righty Josh Banks (1-2, 3.65) in a 6:35 PM start from Isotopes Park.
손톱이 깨지면서 마이너리그 7일자 DL에 올랐었던 맥도날드(James McDonal)가 현지시간으로 목요일 라운드 락 익스프레스(휴스턴 AAA팀)를 상대로 선발등판할 예정이라고 합니다. 일단 손가락에 이상이 없다면 그를 콜업시키는 것도 하나의 옵션이 되겠죠. 이닝을 적게 던지면 되니까요.

THe Isotopes have added RHP Seth Etherton. Etherton went to USC and if from Laguna Beach CA. He went to Dana Hills High school. he was drafted in the first round of the 1998 draft by the Angels. In 2007, Etherton played for Kia Tigers in the Korean Baseball Organization and went 2-2 with a 4.22 ERA before being released.
오프시즌 막판에 세스 에써톤(Seth Etherton)을 영입했지만, 지금까지 확장 스프링 캠프에 있었던 모양입니다. 최근에 엘버커키에 합류했는데, 24일 경기에서 선발등판해서 5이닝 2실점 투구를 했었습니다.
한국에서 뛰었었군요... 그럼 기대는 안하겠습니다.


엘버커키에 합류한지 7경기째 치른 루카소 메이(Lucas May)는 첫 2경기에서 7타수 무안타를 기록했지만, 이후 18타수 6안타를 기록중입니다.

영상은 메이의 3번째 AAA경기에서 첫 안타를 홈런으로 기록했는데, 이 영상에서는 안나오지만 엘버커키 전광판 중단을 맞추는 대형 홈런이었다는군요.

The Lookouts pounded Huntsville 12 to 3 behind a strong outing from Tim Sexton, who was making his first start of the season. Sexton started 2010 in the Chattanooga bullpen, but after proving that he wasn’t very good at relief, he got the start and showed that he deserves to stay in the rotation for now. Dee Gordon paced the offense with 3 singles and his 5th stolen base of the year, and Lambo provided the big hit with his 2nd homer of the season. Surprisingly, Lambo’s homer was the only Lookout extra base hit of the game.
오늘 체터누가는 놀랍게도 12점이나 뽑아냈습니다. 거기에는 올시즌 첫 선발등판했던 팀 섹스턴(Tim Sexton)의 피칭도 한몫했습니다. 드레프트된 당시부터 컨트롤에는 일가견이 있다는 평가가 있었고, 23살의 더블 A선수이기때문에 아직까지 포기할 단계는 아니라고 보여지네요.

This is Dee’s third 3 hit game in the last 6 days. He’s 4th in the Southern League in batting and he stole base #5 today. That’s the good news, now the bad news. Gordon has walked twice in 17 games and has struck out 9 times. He’s also struggled mightily against lefties, posting a .188/.278/.250 against them in 16 at bats. He’ll need to prove that he can show leadoff (read: on-base) skills and an ability to handle same-handed pitching when the average comes down.
오늘 고든은 3안타경기를 펼치면서 최근 다섯 경기중에 3경기를 3안타경기를 보여주고 있습니다. 물론 2BB/9K는 (약간의) 문제점이 될 수 있으며, 좌완투수에게 .188/.278/.250로 너무나도 좋지 않습니다. 그리고 5개의 도루중에 좌완투수를 상대로는 시도도 하지 않았네요. 그가 진정한 리드오프가 될려면 출루율에 더 신경을 써야할 겁니다.

Nathan Eovaldi made his second start of the season, and had another impressive performance.  The 20 year old allowed just one run and 4 hits over 5 innings, and even though he walked 4 batters, he was able to effetively work around the extra baserunners.
Inland에서 2번째 등판을 했던 에오발디(Nate Eovaldi)는 5이닝동안 4피안타 1실점을 했지만, 4개의 볼넷이나 허용했습니다. 삼진은 겨우 2개만 잡았구요. 다만 GO/AO가 9/4를 기록할만큼 낮게 던지는데 치충했던 것같습니다.

The tagteam of Magill and Webster put together a solid performance on Tuesday night, but the Loons fell to Bowling Green 4 to 2. Magill got the start and allowed 2 runs in 5 innings, and struck out three.  Webster picked up in the 6th and pitched three innings in total, and while he also allowed two runs, he struck out an impressive 5 batters.
오늘도 역시 조합 선발이 등판했는데, 선발로 나온 메길(Matt Magill)은 5이닝동안 4피안타 2실점 3K(0BB)로 선전했지만, 이후 등판한 웹스터는 3이닝동안 삼진을 5개나 잡았지만  6회에 볼넷이후 2루타를 맞으며 위기였을 당시 보크를 범했고, 투수코치인 크라임(Chuck Crim)씨가 보크판정에 퇴장당하는 어수선한 분위기에서 포수인 에릭슨(Gorman Erickson)이 실책까지 나오면서 아쉽게 패전을 기록했습니다.
