GLL, 첫 경기 선발로 아론 밀러 내정

Aaron Miller joined the Great Lakes Loons on August 1. On Wednesday, he pitches in the first playoff game in franchise history.
8월 1일 GLL으로 승격한 아론 밀러(Aaron Miller)는 플옵 1차전 선발로 내정되었다.

"It's a blast to come up here and help this team the past month get into the playoff and then to start the first game," Miller said. "It's been awesome every since I've been here."
"내가 여기와서 팀에 도움될 수있다는 점이 놀랍고, 플옵 1차전 선발로 뛴다는게 영광입니다."

Miller, the Los Angeles Dodgers' first-round pick this year, will do his best to get the Loons off to a good start.
다저스의 1라운드 셔플픽인 밀러는 론스에서 좋은 피칭을 했으며, 내일도 그러할 것이다.

Despite a pitch limit, Miller has put together a 3-1 record in seven starts, with a 2.08 earned run average and 38 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings. He has held opponents to a .208 batting average.
투구수 제한에도 불구하고 밀러는 7번의 경기에서 3승과 2.08ERA를 기록했으며 30.1이닝동안 38K를 잡았다. 그의 피안타율은 .208

Great Lakes manager Juan Bustabad had no qualms putting Miller on the mound for the first game.

"I have no concern with Miller," Bustabad said. "He's a college kid. He's pitched in big games."

In his last big game for Baylor, Miller and the Bears dropped a 3-2, 10-inning decision to third-seeded Louisiana State University in the NCAA regionals.
밀러는 베일러에서 3번시드였던 루이지애나 주립대를 상대로 좋은 피칭을 한 적이 있었다.

"I live for that kind of moment," Miller said. "I take pride in that. I consider myself a big-game pitcher."
"전 이런 순간을 즐깁니다. 그리고 그것을 자랑스럽게 생각하구요. 전 스스로 빅게임 투수라는 생각을 한답니다."

He's also left-handed.

"Left-handed pitchers have given West Michigan some trouble," Bustabad said. "Miller had been one of our best pitchers and he gives us some good matchups against West Michigan."

JonMichael Redding, who was 16-3 this season for the Loons, is scheduled to pitch in Game 2.
2번째 경기에서는 리그 최다승인 존 마이클 래딩(Jon Michael Redding)이 등판한다.

His scheduled opponent is left-hander Casey Crosby, the Tigers’ No. 3 prospect according to Baseball America.  He finished the regular season 10-4 with a 2.41 ERA and a streak of 21 2/3 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run.
웨스트 미시건은 1차전 선발로 케이시 크로스비(Casey Crosby)를 내정했다. 그는 올해 초 BA평가 팀(디트로이트)내 4위(원문이 잘못되었더군요)로 평가받았던 유망주다. 그는 시즌막판 21.2이닝동안 무실점으로 투구하며 상승세를 기록중이다.


BA평가를 보니 이 선수 부상만 없다면 확실히 좋은 선발로 클 제목이라네요. 올해도 부상없이 보내나 했더니 시즌 막판에 부상을 당했다가 9월 2일에 돌아왔다네요. 아마 경기 감각은 상대적으로 떨어지지 않을까 싶습니다.
