Jaime Pedroza hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the ninth to knot the score at 9-9 and Jerry Sands delivered the game-winning hit in the 11th inning as Great Lakes defeated visiting Fort Wayne, 11-10, in the opener of the Midwest League Eastern Division Championship Series on Monday. It was the second consecutive extra-inning win for the Loons, with a crowd of 4,029 on hand at Dow Diamond.
사실 이 경기에 집중한게 아니라서-안그래도 히어링이 안되는 허접한 귀임에도 불구하고- 몰랐는데 이겼더군요. 마지막에 샌즈가 끝내기 안타를 칠때 아나운서의 목소리가 떠나가는줄 알아서 그때서야 이겼는지 알았습니다. 9회말에 천금같은 페드로자(Jaime Pedroza)가 홈런친 음성도 GLL의 홈피에 가면 mp3로 되어있으니 들으실 수 있을 겁니다.

Loons starter Josh Walter struggled, allowing four runs before exiting in the second inning without recording an out. Steve Smith came on in relief and kept Great Lakes in the game, allowing just one run over 5 2/3 innings.
일단 GLL의 선발진이 지금 많이 무너진 느낌입니다. 유일한 믿음은 아론 밀러인데, 현재론 싱글 A플옵 스케줄이 너무 타이트한지라 밀러를 출격시킬 시간을 벌지 못하고 있습니다. 내일 만약 GLL이 진다면 Fort Wayne과의 3차전에서는 밀러가 나올 수 있습니다. 근대 그러지않고서 오늘 극적인 승리를 바탕으로 이기고 3라운드로 진출했으면 하는 생각이 드네요.

The Loons and TinCaps continue the Eastern Championship Series at Parkview Field on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. Right-hander Bobby Blevins, who pitched in relief on Thursday night against West Michigan in the first round, starts for the Loons against TinCaps right-hander Stiven Osuna.
내일은 바비 블레빈이 등판하며 상대 선발은 스티븐 오수나....오수나는 지난번에 GLL에게 깨진 기억이 나는군요.

"We had some guys that had decent disciplined at-bats that hit the ball well, but we had some other guys that were trying to do too much with it," Ogden manager Damon Berryhill said. "Give (Locke) credit, he pitched a good ballgame, kept the ball down in the zone."

Locke's style took advantage of some playoff nerves on the Raptors' part.

"We had a few guys that were overanxious," Berryhill said. "If you get a guy like that and try to do to much with him, he's going to carve you up."

Ogden and Orem, facing each other in the Pioneer League South Division series for the second consecutive season, scrimmaged eight out of the final 10 games to wrap up the regular season. The Raptors can shake off their 3-5 mark in those contests as meaningless, but Saturday's loss is not so easily thrown away in their chase for their first Pioneer League title.

Allen Webster (0-1) started for Ogden, and was sharp early. Webster set down the first eight men before Travis Witherspoon ripped a solo homer to open the scoring with two out in the bottom of the third. It was Witherspoon's fourth home run of the season against the Raptors.
반면, 얼마전 베리힐이 1차전 선발로 써도 되겠다고 말했고, 커쇼님이 좋아라하는 웹스터는 삽질해버렸습니다. 슬슬 솔트레이크 시티에 적응하나요?-.-;;

Ogden right-hander Brett Wallach (0-1, 5.23 ERA) will oppose Orem left-hander Tyler Kehrer (3-3, 4.75 ERA) at 7 p.m. at Lindquist Field. Game 3, if necessary, will also be played at Lindquist Field.

"We've got to come out and pitch a good ballgame, try to play mistake-free baseball," Berryhill said. "We had some mistakes that really ended up hurting us, that you really can't get away with against a pretty solid caliber club we're facing with good pitching."
일단 내일은 랩터스의 홈구장인 륀케스트 필드(Lindquist Field)로 돌아가서 2차전을 갇습니다. 선발은 올해 3라운더(전체 96번픽)인 브렛 월치(Brett Wallach)가 선발로 등판합니다. 최근 월치의 성적을보면 실망스러운데 내일을 잘했으면 좋겠군요. 설마 내일 경기 지고 아버지(트리플 A감독)와 같이 낚시나 가는건 아니겠죠?-0-
