매니 라미레즈 주니어 (Manny Ramirez Jr.)

오늘 메이저리그 닷컴에 매니 라미레즈 주니어에 대한 글이 있어서 퍼왔습니다. 아무래도 혈통을 중시하는 다저스가 관심을 가질 만한 선수인것 같아서...

이름에서 알 수 있듯이 클리블랜드-보스턴-다저스에서 뛰었던 외야수 매니 라미레즈의 아들입니다. 아쉽게도 이번에 발표된 메이저리그 닷컴 TOP 100, 베이스볼 아메리카의 TOP 500안에 이름을 올리지 못했지만 이번 드래프트에서 지명을 받을 확률이 상당해 보입니다. 아직까지 아버지와 같은 스윙을 보여주지 못하지만 인성적으로 아버지보다는 휠씬 더 오픈된 마인드라는 평가네요. 매니 라미레즈의 큰 아들인데...아버지가 아닌 어머니와 함께 생활을 하고 있는 모양입니다. (제가 알기로는 첫 부인과는 이혼을 했을 겁니다.) 그래도 아버지와는 연락을 하는 사이라고 하는군요. 주력 포지션은 1루수인데 어깨가 강하기 때문에 코너 외야수로 성장할 수도 있을것 같다고 하는군요. 6피트 4인치, 205파운드의 신체조건을 갖고 있는데 일단 신체조건은 아버지보다 좋아 보이는군요. 선수 본인은 아버지 덕에 이름을 알리게 되었지만 다음 레벨에서는 실력으로 인정을 받고 싶다고 하는군요.

베이스볼 아메리카에 좋은 혈통을 가진 선수들에 대한 글이 올라와서 링크 시킵니다. 아무래도 다저스가 이중에서 몇명을 지명하지 않을까 싶습니다. 100명 정도 되는 것 같은데...미국은 워낙 야구인구가 많아서 그런지...찾아 보면 다 친척이라는...ㅎ
