좌완 FA 불펜 윌 오먼 다저스 캠프에서 오디션 치루다

 FA 좌완 불펜중 가치있는 선수중 한명이였던 윌 오먼이 아직도 팀을 정하지 못하고 있는데 오늘 다저스 캠프에 왔으며 그의 에이전트는 다저스와 미팅을 가졌다고 합니다.그 이후 오전에 마이너리그 타자들을 상대로 불펜 세션을 가졌고 이것은 다저스가 그와 계약할지 결정하기 위한 오디션중 하나였다고 하네요.스프링캠프가 끝나가는 무렵인지라 조 토레 감독이 그가 개막전이 준비되어 있는지 확인하려고 테스트를 해봤다고 하는데 두 타자를 상대하는 모습에서 오먼의 이야기와 달리 토레는 개막전 준비가 안되어 있음을 확인했다고 하네요.

 31살의 오먼은 08시즌 83게임 등판해서 3승 1패 3.86 ERA를 기록하고 오프시즌 내내 애틀란타,메츠,필리스와 계약 이야기가 나왔으나 마지막에 남은 바이멀이 워싱턴에 둥지를 튼 이후로도 아직까지 팀을 정하지 못하고 있죠.다저스가 궈홍치가 아직 작년과 같은 구위가 아닌데다 마땅한 제2 좌완 불펜이 없는지라 몸값이 비교적 싸다면 잡을 생각이 있는것 같은데 오디션이 썩 좋지는 않아서 어떻게 될지 모르겠네요.

Will Ohman in Dodgers' camp today; contract next?

Will Ohman, perhaps the top reliever still available in free agency, is in the Dodgers' spring training camp today. Ohman worked out for the Dodgers, and then his agent headed into a meeting with Dodgers General Manager Ned Colletti, The Times' Dylan Hernandez reports from Camelback Ranch.

Ohman pitched a bullpen session and threw to minor league hitters this morning, before an audience that included several of the Dodgers' decision-makers.

"I've definitely been training with the purpose of being ready for Opening Day," Ohman told Hernandez. "I think I showed that."

Ohman, 31, could become a second left-handed setup reliever, joining Hong-Chih Kuo, whose history of multiple surgeries has made the Dodgers reluctant to use him on consecutive days. Ohman made 83 appearances for the Atlanta Braves last season, with a 4-1 record and 3.68 earned-run average.

PHOENIX -- Free agent left-hander Will Ohman said he would be ready for opening day, but Manager Joe Torre wasn't so sure.

Of Ohman's command when he pitched to minor leaguers in front of the Dodgers' brain trust, Torre said, "You can see he hasn't been pitched in games."
