다저스는 왜 벨리아드의 몸무게를 제어할까?

벨리아드가 야수이기 때문에 3월 2일전까지 스프링캠프에 합류해야하고 그 시간과 스프링 캠프 어느시점까지는 충분히 몸무게를 줄일 수 있지 않을까 싶고, 정 안되면 방출하면 되니....

일단 현지시간으로 3월 31일전까지 방출하면 그의 연봉은 모두 주지않는 선에서 방출이 가능하고, 3월 17일전에만 방출하면 연봉의 일부분만 주면 되니까 다저스 입장에서는 그리 나쁜 계약은 아닐거 같습니다.

If DeWitt wins the job, Colletti said the Dodgers could start the season with seven infielders, noting that Carroll and backup shortstop candidate Nick Green can play the outfield. The Dodgers expect that Belliard will occasionally spell Casey Blake at third base and James Loney at first.

그리고 콜레티는 여전히 제 4의 외야수를 찾고 있는데, 그렇게 되면 타자(외야수 4 + 내야수 7 + 포수 2) 13명의 투수 12명의 작년과 비슷한 포메이션이 가능하지 않을까 싶은데, 일단 시즌 초에 5선발이 그리 큰 퍼센테이지를 차지하지않기때문에 타자를 한명 더 늘릴 수도 있을거 같고, 그게 밍키(Doug Mientkiewicz)일 수도 있겠죠.

개인적으로 어설프가 닉 그린(Nick Green)에게 백업자리를 주기보다는 후친렁(Chin-lung Hu)가 백업유격수를 맡았으면 좋겠네요.
