다저스타디움, 티켓가격 인상

The Dodgers have raised the price of some mini-plans by up to $3 per ticket.

The increases cover the top deck, reserved level and outfield pavilions. The Dodgers, coming off consecutive appearances in the National League Championship Series, have not raised mini-plan prices on other levels and have frozen season tickets for a second consecutive season.
위에 네 장의 사진이 다저스타디움을 둘러싸고 있는 관중석인데, 외야쪽에 파빌리온지역과 리저브드 레벨, 탑 독에 대해 가격인상을 한다고 하네요. 즉, 그라운드에서 가장 먼곳에 해당되는 곳에 대해 티켓가격을 올린다는 얘긴데, 얼마만큼의 이익이 될지는 장담할 수 없네요. 관중이 적은날엔 어느 정도의 이닝이 지난다음에 좀 더 비싼 관중석으로 들어가는 문을 열어주는걸로 아는데....ㅎ

The Dodgers last season offered a 15-game package on the top deck for $105. The team will charge $126 for a 14-game package next season.

The Dodgers froze single-game prices before last season but have not announced single-game prices for next season. The Dodgers are not expected to raise their payroll next season, but spokesman Josh Rawitch said revenue from ticket price increases will help offset rising business expenses beyond the player payroll. He said the Dodgers are offering four season tickets for the price of two on the field and reserved levels. The team has dramatically raised prices on some Dugout Club seats, which are sold on multiyear contracts.
작년에 맥코티가 직접 얼어붙은 경제사정을 생각해 티켓가격을 동결한다고 했는데, 더 이상은 안되는 모양입니다. 암튼 티켓가격인상으로 인한 수입의 증가분은 선수 페이롤에 아닌 비즈니스 비용으로 들어간다고 하네요. 즉, 티켓가격인상되었다고 페이롤 증가를 바라지는 말라는 대변인의 말인데....사람들이 "혹시..."하는 기대감을 없애기위해 선빵을 날렸네요.

The Dodgers' average ticket cost $29.66 last season, ranking behind the two New York teams, the two Chicago teams, the Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Nationals, according to Team Marketing Report.
다저스는 미국에서 두 번째로 큰 도시를 프렌차일즈도 두고 있지만, MLB 티켓가격은 빅리그 30개 구단가운데 8번째라고 합니다. 보스턴이나 필리스, 워싱턴도 동부지역에서는 나름 큰 도시긴 하죠.

"Despite the increases in some areas, our ticket prices are still very reasonable in a large market like Los Angeles," Rawitch said.
티켓가격을 인상했을지라도 대도시임을 감안할때 여전히 합리적이라고 하네요. 사실 이 말은 맞는 말입니다. LA Lakers가 쓰는 홈구장인 스테이플스센터에서 가장 가격이 싼 곳이 제가 알기론 40불로 아는데, 그에 비해면 여전히 다저스타디움의 티켓가격은 10불이하로 싼 편에 속하죠. 다만 티켓인상으로 인한 증가분이 페이롤로 이어지지 않는다는게 씁쓸하네요.
