[BA]다저스의 09 드레프트 평가

BA에서 해당해의 각팀 드레프트에 대한 평가를 냈는데, 유료자료인데, 제가 어떻게 퍼왔는지 모르겠습니다-_-;;
이것저것 막 들어가다보니 찾았네요....ㅎㅎ WS에 다저스가 떨어지니 재미도 없고 해서...쓸때없는 짓만 하네요.

POSITION PLAYERS

BEST PURE HITTER: C J.T. Wise (5) or OF Brian Cavazos-Galvez (12). Wise hit .338/.401/.566 at Rookie-level Ogden, while Cavazos-Galvez batted .322/.353/.618 there.
포수인 와이즈(J.T. Wise)나 브라이언 카바조스-갈베스(Brian Cavazos-Galvez)가 타격만을 따진다면 가장 좋은 선수라고 하는군요. 그치만 와이즈는 좌우투수에 대한 편차(vs Left : .455 ; vs Right : .287)가 너무 심하더군요.

BEST POWER HITTER: OF Blake Smith (2) needs to cut down on his strikeouts, but he crushes balls when he makes contact. OF Angelo Songco (4), Wise and Cavazos-Galvez all have good power.
올해 드레프트 된 선수중에 가장 좋은 파워를 지닌 선수는 2라운드 픽인 블레이크 스미스(Blake Smith)가 뽑혔습니다. 하지만 올해 아무것도 보여준게 없죠. 두 개의 리그에서 도합 36경기 뛰면서 .214/.317/.302였습니다. 일단 컨택에 집중할 필요가 있어보이네요. 출루율보다 낮은 장타율을 기록하고 여기에 뽑힌게 자신에게 부끄럽지 않나 싶네요. 일단 다저스는 내년까지는 스미스를 타자로 쓸꺼라고 하는데, 나이가 많아질수록 컨버전을 더욱 힘들어보이네요.

FASTEST RUNNER: SS/2B Casio Grider (14) has plus-plus speed and stole 22 bases in 24 tries in the Rookie-level Arizona League.
조지아주 출신의 14라운더인 카시오 그리더(Casio Grider)는 아주 좋은 스피드로 24번의 도루시도에서 22번을 성공했다고 합니다. 솔직히 처음 알았네요...이런 선수가 있다는 걸
유격수를 포기해야할거 같네요. 간신히 필딩율 9할(.904)을 넘겼습니다.

BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER: OF Jonathan Garcia (8) has good range and arm strength in center field.
조나단 가르시아가 좋은 수비수인가 봅니다. 중견수에서 어깨가 좋은 편이라네요.

PITCHERS

BEST FASTBALL: LHP Aaron Miller (1) was primarily an outfielder in his first two years at Baylor, but his 91-95 mph fastball means his future is on the mound. RHPs Garrett Gould (2) and Steven Ames (17) and LHPs Andy Suiter (10) and Greg Wilborn (18) all top out around 94 mph. Smith was clocked as high as 96 in college, and some teams preferred him as a pitcher.
아론 밀러(Aaron Miller)는 대학에서 주로 외야수로 뛰었지만 91~95마일까지 나오는 페스트볼을 지녔기에 화이트가 그를 투수로 선택했습니다. 최근에 AFL에서 90마일을 넘지 못한다고 하네요. 스미스는 대학에서 96마일까지 찍어서 다른 팀들은 투수로 그를 봤다고 하네요. 기록을 찾아보니 릴리프로 나왔는데, 구속이 좋은지는 모르겠으나 볼넷을 너무 남발하네요.

BEST SECONDARY PITCH: Gould has a plus fastball, but his filthy curveball is his best pitch. Miller has a hard 82-83 mph slider.
굴드(Garrett Gould)는 좋은 페스트볼을 가지고 있으나, 역시 주무기는 지저분한 커브라는군요. 아론 밀러의 슬라이더는 83마일대라네요. 굴드가 무럭무럭 커주길 바랄뿐입니다.

ODDS AND ENDS

BEST PRO DEBUT: Cavazos-Galvez was the Pioneer League MVP and topped the circuit in runs (59), hits (97), doubles (29) and homers (18). Despite his inexperience on the mound, Miller went 3-1, 2.75 with 48 strikeouts in 36 innings between two stops, and he was outstanding in the low Class A Midwest League playoffs. Ames had a 2.10 ERA and 47-6 K-BB ratio in 30 innings at Ogden.
최고의 데뷔해를 보낸 선수는 BCG와 밀러였습니다. BCG는 파이오니아 리그 MVP에 걸맞는 활약을 펼쳤고, 싱글 A팀에 늦게 합류한 밀러는 포스트시즌에서 최고의 활약을 펼치면서 좋은 인상을 각인시켰습니다. 그리고 17라운더인 스티븐 암스(Steven Ames)는 오그던에서 30이닝동안 2.10ERA와 47K/6BB를 기록했습니다.

BEST ATHLETE: Miller has all-around tools as a right fielder and had a chance to go in the first round as a position player coming out of high school. Gould, who would have been a two-way player at Wichita State, was a star quarterback and basketball forward in high school. Among the position players, OF Nick Akins (19) stands out with his strength and slightly above-average speed.
밀러와 굴드는 학교에서 두 가지 포지션에서 플레이했기때문에 다른 선수보다는 운동신경이 좋다고 하네요. 포지션 플레이어중에서는 닉 아킨스(Nick Akins)가 좋은 운동신경을 지녔다고 알려져있습니다. 진작 다저스와 계약했으면 평가가 좋았을 선수였는데 아쉽네요. 수비수로써는 좌익수에 국한된 수비만을 보이고 있다고 전하고 있습니다.

MOST INTRIGUING BACKGROUND: RHP Brett Wallach's (3) father Tim is a former all-star third baseman who manages the Dodgers' Triple-A Albuquerque affiliate, and his brother Matt is a catcher in the system. Wise's great uncle, Bobby Richardson, was the 1960 World Series MVP. Cavazos-Galvez' father Balvino Galvez pitched briefly for Los Angeles. OF Stetson Banks' (22) uncle Brian and unsigned LHP Ryan Christenson's (40) father Gary also played in the majors. C Stephen Cilladi's (33) dad Dave was a former big league trainer with the Cubs and Rockies.
3라운더인 브렛 월치(Brett Wallach)는 가족이 모두(?) 다저스에 적을 두고 있습니다. BCG의 아버지는 많이 알려진대로 한국에서도 선수생활을 한 분이죠. 그외에 몇 명이 있네요.

CLOSEST TO THE MAJORS: Miller, whose development should take off now that he's focusing solely on pitching.
빅리그에 도달할 거 같은 선수는 밀러가 유일한 듯하네요. 물론 BA는 툴을 중시하는 집단(?)이기에 이런 예측은 많이 빗나가는게 많더군요.

BEST LATE-ROUND PICK: Cavazos-Galvez and Ames.
BCG가 늦게 지명된 것은 아무래도 대학이 뉴멕시코주립대이고 그 곳에서의 성적이 쿠어스만큼 과대포장되었다는 측면때문에 늦게 지명되지 않았나 싶네요. 물론 나이도 그 이유중에 하나겠죠.

THE ONE WHO GOT AWAY: SS Chad Kettler (24), an athletic switch-hitter, opted for Oklahoma over pro ball.

Lefthanders with stuff like Miller's don't usually last until the No. 36 pick, and if his debut is any indication he could be a steal. The Dodgers rarely venture over MLB's slots , but they paid Gould more than Miller ($900,000 vs. $889,200) to make sure they got him.
