Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports note that the Phillies had a creative idea for third base before signing Placido Polanco - they asked Orlando Hudson if he'd make the position change.  He passed.
필리스가 폴랑코와 계약하기 전에 헛슨에게 컨버전가능하냐고 물었다고 하네요. 헛슨은 싫다고 했고, 바로 폴랑코와 계약했다고 하는군요. 헛슨은 고집해도 될만한 건강과 성적...그리고 환경(논-중재대상자)이기때문에 가능한 뻐팅김이 아닐까 싶네요.

Diamondbacks GM Josh Byrnes conducted a live chat today on MLB.com.  It sounds as though Byrnes would be content to more or less stand pat this offseason, telling one fan that most of the club's impact players evolve within their system rather than "arrive via offseason splash."  Don't expect Arizona to go after a second baseman this winter either as Byrnes says he looks forward to competition over the spot this season, featuring late-season acquisition Tony Abreu.
애리조나의 GM이 오늘 라이브채팅을 했나봅니다. 여기서 그들의 내년 레귤러 2루수로 일단은 토니 어브레유를 지목했다고 하네요. 물론 어브레유의 다재다능함으로 멀티포지션도 가능하다고 합니다.

전 어브레유가 다저스에 있었다면 갈랜드를 얻지못하고 플옵진출도 장담할 수 없었을거라고 생각되네요. 얻는게 있음 잃는게 있는게 당연지사일듯... 좋게 생각할렵니다. 물론 여파는 조금 더 있겠죠.

The Boston Herald reports that the Red Sox are interested in Jamey Carroll.
The Rockies have expressed preliminary interest in free agents Chad Tracy and Jamey Carroll.

There's no shortage of interest in Jamey Carroll this year. Ed Price of AOL FanHouse reports that the Red Sox, Angels, Dodgers, A's, Rangers, Pirates, Reds and Indians all have interest in the 35-year-old utility man. We know the Marlins are interested, too.

Carroll hit .276/.355/.340 with the Indians last year, spending most of his time at second and third, and playing some outfield as well. UZR/150 suggests Carroll has been an above-average defender at second base over the course of the last five years.

다저스관련 언론에서는 왜 이 선수를 쫓고 있다는 루머가 나왔는지 이해할 수없다는 반응인데...저도 처음엔 괜찮겠다 싶었는데, 내외부적으로 부정적이라는 생각이 듭니다.

캐롤은 커리어 .701 OPS를 찍었던 선수이고 자신의 커리어에 맞먹는 성적을 낸 시즌은 작년의 7할OPS와 올해 .695였습니다. 그리고 평균이상의 2루수비(425경기)와 200경기남짓의 3루수비와 유격수 & 외야수비 조금...

이런 선수를 과연 입찰경쟁을 벌려 데려오고 싶을까 싶네요. 그런 선수는 우리에게 드윗도 있고, 후친렁도 있는데...

다른팀들과 입찰경쟁 어쩌구하기도 전에 다저스수뇌부에서도 좀 차근차근 생각해봐야할듯한 문제인거 같습니다. 그리고 올해 2.5M받았는데, 과연 올해 로레타나 어스무스같은 계약(1M +＠)을 하리라곤 생각지도 않네요.

Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FoxSports.com report that the Dodgers and Giants are among the teams pursuing free agent catcher Brad Ausmus. Peter Mrowka, Ausmus' agent, said it's "possible" but "not likely" that his client will play for a team not based on the West Coast next year.

The 40-year-old Ausmus hit .295/.343/.368 in 36 games (107 plate appearances) with the Dodgers last year, his best offensive season since 1999. The FoxSports.com duo mention the Padres as another possible landing spot.
과연 SF와의 싸움에서 이길까요? 더 나아가 어스무스를 잃는다면 다저스가 헤거를 쓸까요?

저는 충분히 다저스가 지리라고 생각됩니다. 출장시간으로 따진다면 어스무스는 SF를 택하겠죠. 연봉도 더 받을테고요. 다저스는 스스로가 어스무스에게 어필할 수 있는 부분이 없는거 같습니다.

어쩌면 살티부상으로 인해 텍사스행도 가능해보입니다. 서부지역 벗어나기 싫다고 해도 돈을 더 얻어주거나 1+1계약제시한다면 어스무스도 약간 고민할듯..

The Giants made a one year offer to Brad Penny, and offered one year plus an option to Juan Uribe last week. Both were declined.
다저스관련된 얘기는 아니지만, 괜히 지역지에서 설레발풍의 기사를 낼까 싶어서 선수쳐봅니다. 1+1계약을 모두 거절한 페니와 유리베를 데려오고 싶은 돈도 없고, 2년 해주리란 생각도 안드네요.

Dylan Hernandez of The LA Times tweets that the Dodgers are in discussions with free agent reliever Luis Ayala about a minor league contract.

Ayala, 32 in January, posted a 5.62 ERA in 40 innings in 2009, mostly for the Twins but some for the Marlins. Over the last two seasons, he's posted a 5.68 ERA in 115.2 innings.
다저스가 위버의 대용으로 아얄라를 쫓고 있다고 하네요. discussions이란 단어의 늬앙스를 보아서 다저스내부에서만 이뤄진 토론이나 회의일듯합니다. 어차피 멀쩡한 선발 못데려온다는 전제하에 말한다면 다저스가 아얄라를 잡는다면 그건 위버의 대용이 아니라 그냥 위버도 재영입하고 아얄라도 데려오는 형태가 되어야할 겁니다.

근대 위버를 놓칠가능성이 있어보이네요....느낌상

6:52pm: Matthew Leach of MLB.com says not to read too much into word of the Cardinals considering Padilla, although he is likely of "some interest" to them (via Twitter).

5:25pm: The Cubs and Cardinals are in the lead to sign free-agent hurler Vicente Padilla, according to a report from La Prensa passed along by Diamond Notes.

La Prensa's source for the report is Cesar Batista, who is linked to the agency that represents the 32-year-old.  Batista says that formal negotiations will not begin until after the winter meetings.  The White Sox, Orioles, Nationals, Braves, Mets, Red Sox, and Dodgers have also expressed interest in the righty.
전 컵스가 강하게 원한다면 파디야를 데려갈 최우선의 구단으로 꼽고 싶습니다. 릴리의 초반부재로 인해 그들도 선발하나가 필요한 상황이겠죠. 카즈는 전 부정적으로 봅니다. 파디야가 과연 독고다이스타일의 감독밑에서 이겨낼지 의문이네요.
밑에 댓글에 썼듯이 애틀란타와 보스턴은 말이 안되니 제외해야할듯 합니다.
애틀란타와 보스턴은 선발넘쳐나고 특히 보스턴은 그들이 영입할려는 선수는 에이스지, 파디야같은 하위선발이 아니겠죠.
네츠와 볼티모어는 돈 바르면 데려갈듯하고....
시카고의 북부(컵스)로 가느냐, 남부(화이트삭스)로 가느냐 그 차이가 아닐까 싶네요.

내년에 70만달러 받고, 2011년에 75만달러(바이아웃 5만달러)받는 조건으로 오늘 정식계약이 나왔네요. 휴가지에서 돌아와서 신체검사통과했으니 나왔겠죠. 올해 다저스에서 마이너딜로 시작한것을 생각한다면 선수본인에겐 업그레이드된 계약이니 당근 필리스갈듯하네요. 이렇게 금방 결정난거 보면 다저스는 다시 카스트로에게 마이너딜 제시한듯합니다. 나이많은 선수입장에선 1+1 제시하면 감사합니다...하고 가는게 당연지사인지라...
