채드 코데로 쇼케이스 열다

Word from a source around the Royals' mini-camp in Arizona is that the team is taking a long look at free agent reliever Chad Cordero.  SI.com's Jon Heyman wrote recently that Cordero will be conducting a showcase on February 19th.

The Royals join a long list of teams connected to the rehabbing righty this winter.  Teams rumored to have interest at various points: the Brewers, Marlins, Dodgers, Twins, Angels, Mets, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, Rangers, Nationals, and Tigers.  A few of those clubs may have since spent their bullpen budgets.  Cordero, 27 in March, had surgery to fix tears in his labrum and biceps tendon in July of 2008.

The Dodgers finally got a little good news concerning Andruw Jones on Sunday.

He got a job with another team and it actually might help the Dodgers recoup some money.

Jones was released last month with the Dodgers still owing $21.1 million of his original two-year, $36.2 million contract. But the terms of his negotiated release, which deferred $16 million of the remaining amount over the next six years, allowed Jones to negotiate additional salary with a new team, as long as the Dodgers received half of it.

On Sunday, Jones agreed to a Minor League contract with the Texas Rangers worth $500,000 if he makes their Major League roster and an additional $1 million in incentives if he reaches 620 plate appearances, so the Dodgers could receive as much as $750,000 back.

Just found out that the Dodgers get HALF of whatever he makes with the Rangers. So, if he maxes out on his incentives and receive a total salary of $1.5 million from Texas in 2009, the Dodgers will get $750,000 of that, meaning they would owe him about $2.76 million instead of the $3.5 million they owe him now.
그래서 올해 그에게 원래는 3.5M을 줘야하는데 2.76M만 줘도 된다고 하는군요. 단지 620타석에 들어 설 경우만이죠.
근대 이 기사는 아무 쓸모없는 기사가 될 가능성이 높다고 생각하네요.
왜냐하면 600타석에 들어선다는 건 스캠에서 엄청난 활약을 펼치고, 시즌 내내 부상없이 & 슬럼프 없이 들어선다면 가능한 타석수이며!!
텍사스도 그들이 내건 오퍼(기본 0.5M에 퍼포먼스 1M)에서 돈이 아깝다면그때 방출이나 DFA를 시키면 되니깐요.
