한 번은 올려야겠다는 생각이 들었는데, 이제 드레프트가 일주일도 남지 않았습니다.

일단 드레프트 순서입니다. 원래 전체 47번과 48번픽 사이에 레드삭스픽이 하나 추가될 수도 있었는데, 펠리페 로페즈(Felipe Lopez)가 템파에 의해 그만 DFA되는 바람에 이 픽이 완전히 사라져버렸습니다.

구분하기 위해서 고딕체 위에 색깔을 덧붙였는데, 검정색은 본연의 픽입니다.

파란색은 작년에 픽했으나 계약에 실패한 팀들에게 보상픽이 돌아가는 것입니다. 이 픽에 올해 어떤 선수를 뽑아서 그 선수와도 계약에 실패한다면 내년 드레프트에서는 이 픽이 보호를 받는 것이 아니라 완전히 소멸됩니다. 해서 전체 7, 10, 15, 121번픽을 가진 구단들은 상대적으로 안정적인(사인어빌러티) 선수를 택할 가능성이 높을 겁니다.

녹색은 오프시즌동안 FA가 된 선수와 계약을 맺은 팀이 원소속팀에게 픽을 넘겨주는 것인데, 디트로이트는 보호받지 못한 지명권을 가지는 바람에 보스턴에게 전체 19번픽을 내주는 반면, 보호받을 수 있는 픽을 지녔던 네츠의 경우 그들의 1라운드(전체 6번픽)를 보호받는 대신에 2라운드픽(전체 66번픽)을 필리스에 내주게 됩니다.

붉은 색은 A & B타입의 FA와 계약한 팀이 원소속팀에게 픽을 주는(딱히 구분하자면 B타입 FA와 계약한 팀은 원소속팀에게 픽을 넘겨주는게 아니라 생성된다는 표현이 정확하겠네요) 것인데, 여기에서는 작년에 커쇼님이 설명해주신 것도 있고 해서 생략하겠습니다.

다저스는 최근 몇 년간 셔플픽하나없는 최근 드레프트를 강조하는 트렌드를 역행하는 듯한 유일한 팀이 되어가고 있습니다. 더군다나 불과 27만달러를 절약하기 위해 로키스로 도텔을 보내버리는 바보같은 짓을 했습니다.

로키스는 다저스와는 달리 바보가 아녔습니다. 그들은 토론토와 계약한 도텔로 인해 전체 45번픽을 손에 거머쥘 수가 있었습니다.

뭐 역대적으로 전체 45번픽에서는 좋은 선수가 나오질 않았지만, 그나마 가장 최근에 주목받고 있는 보스턴의 제드 라우리 정도가 45번픽에서 (현재까지는) 성공한 선수에 속할 것입니다. 하지만, 전체 50번픽안에 드는 선수를 지명하는 것은 아주 좋은 기회인데다가 05년 드레프트이후에 최고의 자원이라고 평가받는 올해이다보니 더더욱 이 가치는 증가했을텐데, 아쉽기만 하네요.

드레프트 오더를 작성하다가 느낀거지만 정말 템파는 알뜰살뜰하다는 생각이 드네요. 콜레티였으면 감히 중재신청하지도 않았을 법한 하프나 퀄스까지 신청을 하면서 픽을 손에 넣는것을 보면 부럽기만 하네요.
