쉐릴도 트레이드 벨트에 올려지다

저는 솔직히 드디어 올것이 왔다고 생각됩니다. 그리고 개인적으로 높은 값이 드는 릴리프(마무리제외)는 신뢰하지않습니다. 콩 단장도 했던 말이긴 한데, 릴리프는 언제 어떻게 튈지 모르는 얌채공인지라...값어치가 올랐을때 다시 팔아야한다고 생각되네요. 다저스의 팜에는 가까운 미래에 클로저가 될 선수도 있습니다.

일단 각 사이트별로 루머나온것을 올려봤습니다.

The Dodgers have a number of young relief pitchers coveted by other teams, including Ronald Belisario, Hong-Chih Kuo and Ramon Troncoso.

But when teams have inquired about those relievers, according to one rival executive, they have been encouraged to instead submit proposals for left-hander George Sherrill.

It appears that Sherrill is available for two main reasons: He's about to earn a raise (perhaps as high as $4 million) through salary arbitration; and he had a lousy NLCS against the Phillies.

The Dodgers are looking for a starter in exchange for Sherrill. They should find a number of interested clubs, since Sherrill has saved 52 games over the past two seasons. He was an All-Star closer in 2008 while pitching for the Orioles in baseball's most rugged division.

A large-market team should be able to pay a top-notch setup man $4 million-$4.5 million. That's what the Royals gave Kyle Farnsworth, and at last check, Kansas City wasn't a large market and Farnsworth wasn't top notch.

The Dodgers, though, seem to be facing greater financial problems by the day, and according the FOXSports.com, they've now put George Sherrill up for bids.

Sherrill did stumble in the NLCS against the Phillies, but it was just one bad night in a game in which the Dodgers were already losing. He had a 0.65 ERA in 27 2/3 innings after being acquired from the Orioles for Josh Bell and Steve Johnson, and he came up big twice versus the Cardinals in the NLDS. For the year, he had a 1.70 ERA in 69 innings.

Because he can serve as a setup man for a contender or a closer on a lesser team and he's under control for two more years, Sherrill will be very attractive in trade talks. Sherrill and a prospect to Detroit for Edwin Jackson would make sense, even if Jackson was a bust in L.A. the first time around. The Rangers, who have weighed moving C.J. Wilson into the rotation, could give up a couple of young arms for him. The Rays would probably be willing to part with Andy Sonnanstine, though that's unlikely to get a deal done. The Phillies could use him, but they wouldn't give up J.A. Happ and Kyle Kendrick simply isn't very attractive.

역시나 내년에 연봉중재를 거친다면 적어도 4M을 줘야하는 쉐릴을 보내고 젊은 투수를 구하는것이 다저스의 목표일 것이란 얘기입니다.
여기에 언급된 팀은 디트로이트, 텍사스, 템파, 필리스입니다.

우선 디트로이트는 이미 루머가 한때 났었던 과거 다저스의 영건 애드윈 잭슨입니다.
쉬릴과 비슷하게 연봉이 오를 선수이며 쉐릴과 동등하게 2년 남았습니다.

빅리그 서비스타임 2년차를 마무리했던 템파의 앤디 소낸스타인이 루머에 언급되네요. 기록을 찾아보니 올해 100이닝도 안던졌네요. 부상인지는 모르겠습니다. 아! 슬럼프가 있었나 보내요. 올해 마이너에서 57이닝이나 던진걸 보면 부상때문에 이렇게 많이 던지진 않았을거 같습니다.

텍사스는 따로 언급되지 않았지만, 윌슨에게 마무리를 맡기기 싫은 모양이네요. 일단 유망주가 가장 풍부하다는 장점이 있지만, 다저스와 비슷하게 구단주의 상황이 안좋기때문에 쉐릴의 연봉을 떠앉을지 의문시 됩니다.

필리스는 햅을 주지 않을 것이고, 카일 캔드릭은 매력적이지가 않다고 하네요.
우선, 2년 연속 똑같은 상황에서 진 팀에게 쉐릴같은 수준급의 릴리프(or 마무리)를 넘겨주는 것이 옳은 행동인지 우선 묻고 싶습니다. 물론 과거는 과거일 뿐이고, 비지니스는 비지니스일 뿐이라고 냉정하게 생각할 수도 있어 보입니다.
언급된 햅은 저 역시도 다저스팬이지만 말도 안된다고 생각되네요. 그는 이미 한 자리를 차지했고, 좋은 선수입니다. 안 주겠죠.
투수를 원한다는 리포터를 볼때 필리스에게서 원하는 것을 얻진 못할거 같네요. 드라벡을 준대도 개인적으로 싫네요. 결코 아버지만큼의 포스를 보여주진 못할겁니다. 찬양스럽게 좋은 3가지 구질이 있다곤 하지만, 과장되었죠. 드라벡은 페스트볼뿐인 선수입니다. 별로(nothing) 땡기지 않네요.

Sherrill, acquired for the stretch run from Baltimore, earned $2.75 million last year and would be in line for a raise into the $4 million neighborhood through arbitration. That's an unaffordable luxury for a club watching the payroll, as the Dodgers clearly are with their ownership uncertain, especially when they are committed to Jonathan Broxton as closer. The Dodgers want back a starting pitcher first, then a second baseman.

다른 기자들.....심지어 로젠탈조차도 2루수를 언급하지않는데, 거닉 혼자 지껄이네요. 이걸 한 구단의 출입기자라고 쓰는 거 보면 한심스럽네요. 2루수는 드윗도 있고, 후친렁도 있고, 드헤수스도 있는데 뭐하러 언급하는지....쯧쯧쯧... 설령 데려온데도 나머지 선수들은 또 정체될겁니다.

투수는 다르죠. 투수는 ....적어도 선발은 5명이 필요하고 릴리프는 6명이 필요한게 투수이기때문에 많으면 많을수록 좋은데...저 딱 두 단어...second baseman때문에 한심스럽게 느껴지네요.
