갈랜드의 딜은 여전히 고잉고잉!!

The latest on the player to be named later in the Jon Garland trade : We’re hearing infielder Tony Abreu still is the most likely player to be dealt, but that it’s not a lock that he ends up completing the deal. We're not sure what the possible holdup is.
벨리아드의 딜은 가라트가 웨이버를 통과함으로써 완료되었습니다. 반 시즌만 더블 A를 경험한 릴리프를 감히(?) 선듯 데려갈 구단은 없겠죠.

근대 아직까진 갈랜드의 딜은 완료되지 않았습니다. 토니 어브레유는 현재 다저스홈피의 Transactions와 엘버커키홈피의 Transactions 모두에서 이름이 올라오지 않고 있습니다.

개인적인 생각이지만 아무래도 어브레유가 빅리그에 상당히 근접해있는 상태인데다가 부상에 대한 걱정을 점점 떨쳐내고 있는지라 그를 노릴 수 있는 구단이 있기때문이 아닐까 싶습니다. 가라트와 동일하게 어브레유는 40인 로스터에 포함되어있는 선수기때문에 그를 트레이드하기위해서는 웨이버를 통과해야하는거 먼저죠. 해서 그 사이에 누군가가 체가거나, 클레임을 걸 수 있기때문에 조심스러운 거 같습니다. 얼마전에 양키스가 회방을 놓은것과 유사한 상황이 일어날 수있기때문이 아닐까 싶습니다.

If it is Abreu, one rival executive told Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal that the Diamondbacks should have gotten more since they’re picking up the rest of Garland’s contract.

The opinion of one scout we spoke with on Abreu: "hen I saw him in Double-A, I thought he was going to be an average everyday second baseman. He was a switch-hitter with hittability and quick-twitch actions and enough bat to hit for some power. I think he can play, but those numbers (his Triple-A stats) mean nothing. If he can stay healthy, I think they have a pretty good player."

The scout was skeptical of the Triple-A numbers because Abreu plays in a bandbox ballpark in Albuquerque.

일단 2명의 스카우터가 어브레유에 대한 평을 했는데, 한 명은 더블 A에 있던 그를 보고서 빅리그 평균적인 레귤러 2루수가 될 것같다고 했다는군요. 파워도 충분히 있으며 스위치히터라는 장점이 있기때문에 꽤나 좋은 선수라고 생각합니다. 단지 건강이 걱정이라는군요.

반명, 다른 스카우터는 그의 트리플 A성적은 아무래도 뻥튀기된 경향이 강하다는군요. 두 명 모두의 얘기가 전 다 맞다고 봅니다.

The Diamondbacks quietly added to their pool of young talent with their trades of right-hander Jon Garland and relievers Tony Pena and Jon Rauch.

In fact, the D-Backs might even have acquired the future right side of their infield, obtaining first baseman Brandon Allen for Pena and reportedly getting second baseman Tony Abreu for Garland. The team also added a potential back-of-the-rotation starter, right-hander Kevin Mulvey, for Rauch.

One rival executive, however, says the D-Backs should have gotten more than just Abreu when they agreed to absorb the rest of Garland's contract. That figure will be between $2.1 million and $3.6 million, depending upon whether the Dodgers exercise their end of Garland's $10 million mutual option or pay him a buyout.

일단 라우치는 우리랑은 상관없으니 패스합니다.

디백스가 이번 트레이드로 인해 내야의 오른쪽보강을 했지만, 라이벌 구단의 GM(쯤 되겠죠)은 디백스가 다저스에게 갈랜드의 연봉과 바이아웃을 모두 다 퍼주고 꼴랑(?) 어브레유밖에 얻지 못한걸 보고 더 얻어왔었어야 한다는 얘기를 했다는군요.

개인적으로 누군지 대충 감이 오는데...그 사람 제발 다저스에게 관심 좀 안가졌으면 좋겠습니다. 어브레유를 당장 웨이버 시키지 못하는것도 그 구단의 그 사람때문이라는 생각이 듭니다.

Speaking of head cases, right-hander Vicente Padilla — surprise! — has been on remarkably good behavior with the Dodgers, even impressing club officials with his work habits.

Padilla, of course, is a free agent at the end of the season. Alas, he is unlikely to sign a series of one-month contracts.
다저스와 마이너계약을 맺었던 파디야가 나름 좋은 활약을 해주고 있습니다. 다저스로 와서 15.1이닝(엘버커키 포함)을 던졌는데, 총 5실점만을 하고 있습니다. 8만 5천달러로 이 정도면 로또치고는 성공한 것이라고 보고, 그도 인성문제로 방출당한데다가 올 시즌 후 FA가 되기때문에 묵묵히 자신의 할일만 할 것으로 보이네요.

다저스 클럽하우스에서 목소리를 내는 선수들이 대체로 흑인과 남미쪽 인물들이 많다는 것도 어찌보면 파디야가 편안함을 느끼는지도 모르겠습니다.

뭐 다저스로써는....아니 개인적으로는 만족합니다. 단지 B타입임에도 올시즌 연봉을 생각한다면 중재안할 가능성이 높다는게 약간 거슬리긴 하지만....

The Athletics claimed 25 year-old righty Jon Meloan off waivers from the Pirates, according to CSN Bay Area (via Twitter).  The A's are Meloan's fourth club this year, after he bounced around from the Indians to the Rays to the Pirates.  And last year he went from the Dodgers to the Tribe in the Casey Blake deal.  At three different Triple A stops this year he compiled a 4.57 ERA with 60 strikeouts and 28 walks in 65 innings.  Meloan was considered a "potential power set-up man" for the Dodgers by Baseball America a few years ago.

이 선수는 최근에 인디언스에서 DFA되어, 템파가 클레임 걸었고, 템파가 DFA했는데, 다시 벅스가 클레임을 걸었고, 벅스가 다시 DFA시켰는데 이젠 에이스가 클레임 걸었군요.

마지막 문장의 BA평가를 보시면 충분히 좋은 셋업맨으로 성장가능했던 선수였는데 갑자기 뜬금없이 선발하겠다고 했다가 자신의 커맨드만 망친 후 지금까지 저러고 있죠. 한편으론 불쌍하다는 생각이 드네요. 내년에 콜로세움에서 등판하려면 많은 절차가 남았지만 그가 결국 콜로세움에 등장한다면 구장덕택에 성적향상을 있을듯합니다. 볼넷만 줄이면 확실히 경쟁력있는 선수인듯....

말론말고 또 하나의 릴리프 유망주가 있었는데, 이름이 기억이 안나네요. 작년초에 보스턴으로 보냈는데, 그 선수도 망한걸로 기억합니다만....

LAtimes의 Dylan Hernandez기자가 토미의 트레이드에 대해 한 마디 했군요. 한 달 꼴랑 쓸려고 1M의 핀치히터를 데려온것을 이해할 수 없다고 하네요. 여기서 말하는 1달이란 연봉을 지급해야하는 달로 계산한거 같습니다. 기본적으로 선수들이 플옵에서 뛰던 안뛰던 연봉은 없죠. 뭐 작년 맷 스테어스 이상의 활약을 한다면 1M도 아깝지 않을거 같습니다. 그리고 만약 다저스가 WS에 진출한다면 그만한 DH도 없죠.

With the Dodgers not expected to retain Orlando Hudson, who could command a multimillion deal with an annual salary of $8 million to $10 million, Abreu might have gone into the spring training next year as the favorite to take over as their starting second baseman.

That leaves the Dodgers with Blake DeWitt, who is batting .256 in triple A.
이런 얘기도 했군요. 일단 어브레유의 디백스행이 확실시 되는 현재 헛슨은 아마 다시 돌아오기 힘들다는군요. 충분히 공감갑니다. 건강을 증명한 헛슨이 다저스와 다시 단기계약을 맺은 가능성은 없겠죠. 그는 최소 3년이상의 딜을 원할테니...

엘버커키를 홈으로 쓰면서 드윗이 저렇게 삽질하는 것은 아무래도 의욕상실때문이 아닐까 하는 생각이 듭니다. 일단 데헤수스도 건강하게 시즌 막판에 5경기를 뛰었기때문에 그도 또 하나의 옵션이 되겠죠.
