빌링슬리 계약 확정

The Dodgers today signed pitcher Chad Billingsley to a three-year contract extension through the 2014 season, with an option for 2015. The deal, worth a total of $35 million guaranteed, buys out Billingsley's final arbitration season, plus two and possibly three years of free agency. He already agreed to a one-year, $6.275 million deal for 2011, his second year of arbitration eligibility.

2011: $6.275 million

2012: $9 million

2013: $11 million

2014: $12 million

2015: $14 million club option, with a $3 million buyout

빌링슬리(Chad Billingsley)의 3+1계약이 공개되었습니다. 일단 보장된 금액은 35M인데, 만약 2015년의 옵션이 실행된다면 4년간 46M이 됩니다.

Billingsley's deal includes a limited no-trade clause. Can block trades to 10 teams.
그리고 계약기간동안 트레이드불가조항이 삽입되는데, 29개구단가운데 10개구단만 지정했다고 하네요.

Billingsley was 12-11 with a 3.57 ERA last season, and after a June stint on the disabled list he put up a 3.05 ERA in his final 18 starts of the season, and allowed one home run in 132 2/3 innings after Memorial Day. His 59 career wins are the sixth most by an LA Dodger through their age 25 season, behind Fernando Valenzuela, Don Drysdale, Don Sutton, Ramon Martinez, and Ismael Valdes.
09시즌에 처참한 성적을 기록한 후에 작년에 다소 리바운딩하는 모습을 보였는데, 지난해 메모리얼 데이 이후에 132.2이닝동안 1피홈런만을 허용하면서 상승세로 시즌을 마감했던 것이 주효했던거 같습니다.

그리고 다저스 소속 투수로써 25세 이전에 가장 많은 승리를 따낸 6번째 선수(59승)가 되었습니다. 1위는 19세부터 승리를 따내기 시작한 발렌수엘라(Fernando Valenzuela)의 99승이라는군요. 박찬호 선수는 34승으로 12위에 랭크되어 있네요.

이 계약은 내년시즌부터 유효하기때문에 이미 중재신청을 통해 계약한 올해 연봉에 대해서는 갱신되지 않았습니다.

오늘 이띠어(Andre Ethier)가 약간의 폭탄발언을 했습니다.

"My salary is increasing each year," Ethier said. "I would say the likeliness of me being here beyond this year, it's not just my decision. ... I have been kind of lucky to be in one spot in baseball for as long as I have been, for six years now. That is a long time to be in one city playing for one team. There is no inclination now other than to go out and play this year and see what we've got.
지난 오프시즌동안 마틴(Russell Martin)이 논텐더 당한 것에 대해 자신의 상황도 다르지 않을 수도 있을거라는 얘기인데, 매년 자신의 연봉은 올라가지만, 성적이 시원찮을 경우 마틴꼴을 당할 수도 있다면서 올해가 다저스에서의 마지막 시즌이 될 수도 있다고 하는군요.

물론 이띠어는 2012년 후에 FA가 되기때문에 엄밀하게 따지면 올시즌 후가 마지막 시즌이 안되겠지만, 마틴과 비슷한 처지로 가리라곤 장담을 할 수 없다는 것이겠죠.

Colletti did reveal that he had preliminary discussions during spring training with Nez Balelo, Ethier's Los Angeles-based agent, on a possible extension for Ethier, but that those discussions died fairly quickly.
일단 콜레티는 이띠어측과 스프링 캠프동안 장기계약에 관해서 논의를 했었다고 하네요. 물론 바로 그만뒀기에 뉴스가 나오지 않은듯 합니다.

Ethier insisted he was unaware that those talks had even begun between Colletti and Balelo, so he couldn't have been aware that they had been quickly abandoned.
하지만, 이띠어의 에이전트인 Nez Balelo가 자신의 고객에게는 많은 얘기를 전달하지 않았나 봅니다. 자신이 장기계약논의가 되고 있다는 사실조차 몰랐다고 하는군요.

일단 상황이 어떻게 진행될지는 모르겠으나 단순한 해프닝으로 끝나지는 않을 가능성도 있어 보이네요.
