Martin will catch 6 innings and lead off each of those innings in a Triple-A game tomorrow.
오늘 4이닝 포수를 봤던 마틴은 내일은 6이닝을 포수로 볼 것이며 선두타자로 경기에 뛸 것이라고 하네요.

Martin: "I feel good right now so I don't know why I wouldn't feel good on opening day."
토레가 여전히 오프닝데이 선발라인업에 포함되는 것에 부정적인 의견을 보여준데 대해서 섭섭했던 모양입니다. 마틴도 너무 의욕만 앞세우지말고 느긋하게 한템포 쉬는 것도 나쁘지는 않아 보이는데....

로젠탈이 이런 소리하니까 이제 살짝 무섭네요. 다저스가 고딘에게 관심있는 구단중에 하나라고 합니다.
상식적으로 생각했을때 옵션이 없는 투수를 2명이나 이미 데리고 있는 다저스가 그 중에 한명을 팔려고하는 다저스가 또 마이너옵션이 없는 투수를 데려온다는거....이게 납득이 안되네요.

Left-handed reliever Hong-Chih Kuo was able to play catch on flat ground Thursday for a second consecutive day without further discomfort in his brittle elbow. Nonetheless, Kuo said he did not know when he would be able to throw off a mound, leaving him very unlikely to be ready to start the regular season. Kuo has appeared in only two games this spring.
팔꿈치통증으로 인해 평지에서 캐취볼중인 쿼홍치가 이틀 연속으로 캐치볼을 했는데, 고통을 느끼지 못했다고 합니다. 그렇지만, 마운드에서의 피칭이 언제가 될지는 아직 자신도 모르겠고, 오프닝데이부터 시즌을 시작할거 같지도 않다고 하네요.

Ramon Ortiz and his 1.29 ERA seem to have a stranglehold on at least one of the open spots on the Dodgers pitching staff, but management hasn't decided if it will keep 11 pitchers or 12, and it will be dictated in part by how many infielders they keep.
스프링 캠프에서 강력한 모습을 보여주고 있는 오티즈에 대해서 여전히 코칭스텝은 투수를 11명으로 끌고 갈지, 12명으로 갈지 결정하지 않고 있다고 합니다. 그리고 그 결정은 얼마나 많은 내야수를 포함시킬지에 따라 변경될 것이라고 합니다.

There's a crowd of infielders with James Loney, Rafael Furcal, Casey Blake, Blake DeWitt, Jamey Carroll and Ronnie Belliard. DeWitt has seen the bulk of the playing time at second base, followed by Carroll, with Belliard spending more time on the corners. Manager Joe Torre still has not announced whether DeWitt will make the team as the primary second baseman.

Torre said he believes Belliard has satisfied the weight clause to guarantee his contract, and Belliard figures to share the role of right-handed hitter of the bench with Johnson. Add in two catchers and the Dodgers have 13 position players. None of them, however, is a natural shortstop to back up Furcal. If the Dodgers feel that is necessary, Nick Green or Chin-lung Hu could make the team.
일단 확정된 내야수는 로니, 퍼칼, 블레이크, 드윗, 케롤, 벨리아드라고 하는군요. 토레는 현재 벨리아드의 몸무게에 만족한다고 합니다. 그리고 리드 존슨과 함께 우타벤치요원으로 활약할 것이라고 합니다.
일단 13명의 포지션 플레이어중에 원래 유격수를 봐왔던 선수가 없고, 누군가는 퍼칼의 백업이 되어줘야 하기때문에 다저스는 후친렁이나 닉 그린을 포함 시킬 수도 있다고 합니다.

The addition of Garret Anderson, who almost certainly will make the club as a left-handed hitter off the bench, makes for five outfielders, along with Manny Ramirez, Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier and Reed Johnson. Because of Anderson, there might not be room for Doug Mientkiewicz, even though he's hitting .292.
아마도 내야수의 숫자와 관련된 라몬 오티즈의 로스터포함 여부는 앤더슨이 25인 로스터에 포함되느냐 하는 문제와 같이 생각해볼 수 있을거 같습니다. 밍키대신에 앤더슨이 포함된다면 외야수 5명, 내야수 7명(위에 6명 + 후친렁 or 닉 그린), 포수 2명이 되고 투수는 11명이 되겠죠.
어쩌면 백업 유격수없이 캐롤이나 벨리아드에게 맡기고 투수를 12명으로 끌고 갈 수도 있겠죠. 이럴 경우에는 위험부담이 큰건 사실입니다.

In addition to Ramon Ortiz, other non-roster pitchers in the running for jobs are Luis Ayala, Josh Towers, Justin Miller, Russ Ortiz and Jeff Weaver. Weaver is the most likely to make it from that group because of the way he pitched last year.
NRI 투수중에 가장 앞서 있는 투수는 위버라고 하는데, 이 부분은 동의하고 싶지않네요.

Torre has not announced a fifth starter, but indications are that knuckleballer Charlie Haeger is the leading candidate. He is out of options, so he probably would be lost if sent down. Eric Stults, another fifth starter candidate, also is out of options. The Dodgers almost surely will keep Rule 5 pick Carlos Monasterios and almost surely will send impressive 22-year-old Josh Lindblom back to the Minor Leagues.
얼마전에 애리조나의 얇은 공기가 찰리 헤거에게는 맞지 않는다고 말하면서 헤거를 지지했던 발언이 5선발 선두주자로 만든 모양입니다. 최근에 선발로 나와서 좋은 모습을 보여주지 못했던 모나스테리오스에 대해서는 토레가 그를 릴리프로 쓸 생각인거 같습니다. 린드블럼은 40인 로스터에 포함된 선수가 아니기때문에 당장은 오프닝데이에 함께할 수 없겠죠.

The absence of Ronald Belisario has created one unexpected bullpen spot. Elbow problems have Hong-Chih Kuo behind schedule to open the season on the active roster, so another spot probably exists there.
오늘 메인 기사에서 나온 얘기지만, 여전히 베리사리오는 돌아오지 않고 있다고 합니다. 최근에 변호사를 통해서 작년에 음주운전의 형량이 조금 감소되었지만, 그것과 별개로 비자문제를 다루는 곳이 U.S. State Dept.이기때문에 별개의 문제로 치부되는거 같습니다.
그리고 쿼홍치 역시 팔꿈치 문제로 오프닝데이에 함께 할 수 없을것이라고 합니다.

Expected to be on the staff are starters Vicente Padilla, Clayton Kershaw, Chad Billingsley and Hiroki Kuroda, plus relievers Jonathan Broxton, George Sherrill and Ramon Troncoso. Add to that group Haeger, Monasterios and Ramon Ortiz and there is only one or two spots left, depending on an 11- or 12-man staff.
일단 확정된 투수는 선발 4명과 릴리프 3명, 그리고 모나스테리오스와 헤거.....9명이네요. 릴리프가 갑자기 너무 초라해보입니다.
