Theriot didn't catch the full brunt of a hard but clean slide from the Phillies' Jayson Werth, who successfully broke up a potential double play, but it was enough that Theriot needed to ice his hyperextended left knee after the game. He woke up stiff and was scratched from the lineup on Tuesday.

"I thought it would be best to take the night off rather than aggravate it," trainer Stan Conte said. "We don't think anything is really seriously wrong."

Conte said no MRI was planned, but didn't rule it out. The Dodgers have a 12:10 p.m. PT start on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium after Tuesday's night game, and then an off-day Thursday, meaning Theriot might not return until Friday.

"We do MRIs when the wind changes," he said.

The Dodgers could have their starting shortstop back by the end of the week. Rafael Furcal went through a full slate of pregame activities on Tuesday, something he's done for several days, and is slated to play two rehab games for Triple-A Albuquerque, on Thursday and Friday. Furcal has missed nearly all of August because of a lower back strain.

Catcher Russell Martin is scheduled to have a CAT scan on his right hip on Wednesday in a routine examination. The team wants to be sure that the fracture in his right hip is healing correctly, and Conte anticipates it is. Results that indicate otherwise could potentially mean surgery.

일단 선발투수의 경우 존 일라이(John Ely)가 지난 29일에 등판했기때문에 다음등판때는 현로테이션의 모나스테리오스가 빠질거 같습니다. 파디야가 어제 뜻하지않게 강습타구를 맞는 바람에 리헵에 어떤 영향을 끼쳤는지는 여전히 리포팅되고 있는게 없네요.

그외에 확실시 되는 선수는 엘리스(A.J. Ellis)와 이반데 헤 수스(Ivan De Jesus)가 될거 같습니다.

엘버커키도 여전히 플옵진출 가능성이 있기때문에 많은 선수를 차출시키기는 어려울거 같습니다.

몇일전에 엘버커키 팀원들과 코치와 팬들이 선정한 올해의 엘버커키 선수들 시상식이 있었나 봅니다. 올해의 팀내 MVP는 러스 미첼이 차지했습니다. 올해의 투수로는 릴리프인 후안 페레즈(Juan Perez)가 선정고, 존 린지, 호프만 등이 수상을 했습니다.

러스 미첼은 이주의 PCL 타자에도 뽑혔는데, 올시즌이 끝나고 40인 로스터에 들것으로 예상되네요. 대부분의 전문가들이 유틸리티플레이어로 예상하기때문에 그 기대치대로 커줬으면 좋겠네요.

물론 전문가들이 애틀란타의 마틴 프라도를 역시 유틸리티 플레이어로 예상했지만, 타격 1위를 달리는것에 대해 놀랍고 놀라운 일이라는 반응이 있기때문에 러스 미첼에게 손톱만큼의 기대는 되는 편이네요.

Dodgers prospect Brian Cavazos-Galvez put up some excellent numbers last year at the University of New Mexico, hitting .392/.439/.737 in 54 games, with 15 homers and 17 steals. He has decent tools, too, with more athleticism than is typical for a guy listed at 6-0, 215. He has a strong throwing arm (his dad Balvino was a major league pitcher). But he played his college ball at a thin air bandbox, and scouts weren't sure how his skills would translate into pro ball, so he fell to the 12^th round in the draft. So far, his skills are translating very well: .316/.342/.510 in the Midwest League this year, with 40 doubles, 15 homers, and 42 steals in 55 attempts. He is very aggressive at the plate and has drawn just 12 walks, however he makes contact and has fanned just 58 times in 471 at-bats, an impressive number considering how much pop he's shown in a league that favors pitching. The main negatives here are his age (23) and the low walk rate, but his ability to make contact and drive the ball is notable and augers well for higher levels. Buzz among Midwest League sources is similar to what it was in college: he's got some tools, and his performance has been impressive, but there's still a bit of skepticism until we see him at higher levels.

일단 드레프트이전부터 성적이 과대포장되는 뉴멕시코대학출신이기 때문에 부정적인 얘기가 많은데다가 나이도 많고, 컨택능력은 있지만, 볼넷수치가 너무 적다는 점때문에 여전히 부정적인 시각은 따라다닌다는 얘기입니다.

제리 샌즈가 그랬듯이 만약 내년에 한단계의 레벨(인랜드)을 건너뛰고 체터누가에서 이런 활약을 이어나간다면 분명 얘기는 조금은 호의적으로 변할거 같습니다.
