Torre said current plans are for Manny Ramirez to begin a brief rehab assignment in San Bernardino on Saturday, with a return to the Dodgers immediately after the All-Star break.
"He just feels next Thursday he'll be ready to go in St. Louis," Torre said. "... He's been doing running out here every day. That seems to be going well."
Inland Empire is scheduled to host Lancaster at 7 p.m. Saturday. Torre was not certain how long Ramirez would remain with the 66ers.
