Brian, Sanchez is a good player, but $8 million seems a bit pricey for a non-power hitting second baseman in this economic climate. On the other hand, it's not a deep second base crop in free agency. Orlando Hudson and Felipe Lopez are the big guys out there.

It seems like we've heard that deal being tossed around for a couple of years now. If the Giants think Madison Bumgarner is ready, moving Cain for Fielder would make sense on some levels. But how often do you see two young players of that caliber traded straight up? It's like the Matt Garza for Delmon Young trade -- to the 10th power.

Chris, Boy, when you look at Greinke, Lincecum, Felix Hernandez, Verlander, Cain, Ubaldo Jimenez, Yovani Gallardo, Kershaw and some of the other young starters out there, the standards for "top 5'' are pretty high. But Lester is right in the mix.

OK, hold on. I didn't mean to undersell the Dodgers. They can be very formidable. But while the stats might make their pitching look as if it's better than the Phillies, my eyeballs disagree. The Phillies clearly have the better rotation. The Dodgers have the better bullpen. And the Phillies play better defense than any team in this field, including the Dodgers. So I disagree with your entire assessment of that matchup.

Let's just see how this unfolds. I've discussed it in previous chats, and wrote about it in Rumblings. You need to remember that Holliday is a Scott Boras client who doesn't figure to give them any sort of discount. And if they have to pay him market dollars -- whether that's $20M or $18M or $16M a year -- and then turn around and give Albert $25-30M a year in his next deal, that's $40-50M tied up in two players. Very tough to do in a market like St. Louis, unless you don't mind saying goodbye to Carpenter and Wainwright.

You're making a good point. But they're facing those Cardinals pitchers at Coors, which is a big deal. They also might be facing them after the Cardinals have clinched, would could be another big deal. I just don't see the Rockies collapsing. Sorry.
록스는 내일 하렌과 상대한 후 주중에 쿠어스에서 카즈의 프론트급 선발과 대결한다는데 이럴경우 만약이라는 가능성이 SF에게 생기지 않겠느냐...하는 질문입니다. 이에 대해 스탁스는 물론 그렇지만 쿠어스필드에서의 경기라는 것을 잊어선 안되며, 그때쯤엔 카즈가 디비전 승자가 될테니 양상(다른 투수로 교체한다는 소리겠죠)은 달라질 수있다네요. 결국 록스에게 유리할 거란 소리....

아무리생각해도 SF는 록스와의 최종전에서 이겼어야 했습니다. SF가 굴러들어온 기회를 살리지 못하면 기회를 박탈해도 할말없죠.

P.S. 오션님 블로그에 구경갔다가 나성범선수에 관한 글이 있어....저도 나성범선수 투구장면 구할 수있나 싶었는데 마침 구했습니다. 구한 자료를 언제 볼지는 모르겠지만 나중에 간단한 리뷰올리겠습니다. 근대 저의 짧은 지식으론 고연전은 양측학교학생 아니면 표를 못구하는걸로 아는데....정확하게는 모르겠으나 최소한 '아카라카와 입실렌티'는 확실히 표가 있어야하는걸로 아는데....
