투수 13명

In the hours leading up to the start of their longest homestand of the season, the Dodgers made a couple of moves to bolster their troubled pitching staff.

The Dodgers purchased the contract of veteran Jeff Weaver from triple-A Albuquerque and activated right-hander Cory Wade from the 15-day disabled list, increasing the number of pitchers on their 25-man roster to 13.

To make room for Weaver and Wade, the Dodgers optioned left-hander Scott Elbert to double-A Chattanooga and sent infielder Blake DeWitt to Albuquerque.

Doug Mientkiewicz was transferred to the 60-day disabled list to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Weaver, who was signed to a minor league contract this winter.

Weaver, 32, who pitched for the Dodgers in 2004 and 2005, was 1-0 with a 3.55 earned-run average in 12 2/3 innings over five games with Albuquerque this season. He is expected to be used as a middle reliever.

Wade, who was sidelined by shoulder inflammation, is expected to become the Dodgers' setup man once he gets a couple of outings under his belt.

일단 DL에서 해제된 웨이드와 엘버커키에서 위버를 샀습니다.
대신 엘버트는 체터누가로, 드윗은 엘버커키로 내려갔습니다.
그리고 민케비치는 60일자 DL로 이동했습니다.

또 개인적인 견해를 낸다면, 그때 엘버트를 콜업시키는게 아니었습니다.
토레가 조바심을 낸거 같습니다. 괜히 마이너 옵션만 하나 줄었다는 생각이 드네요.

위버도 그렇고, 최근에는 밀턴도 엘버커키에서 좋은 투구를 하고 있습니다. 커쇼님이 말씀하셨듯이 작년 트리플 A팀인 라스베거스의 홈인 케쉬맨필드(Cashman Field)보다 더 타자친화적인 구장이 엘버커키의 구장이기 그 가치가 더 높다고 할 수 있을 겁니다.
