As advertised, both starters were magnificent tonight. Clayton Kershaw allowed one run in his six innings of work, a solo home run to Todd Helton in the second inning. However, Kershaw threw a lot of pitches, so he departed for a pinch hitter after 115 pitches. Ubaldo Jimenez was even better, using his 115 pitches to allow no runs in seven innings. However, when the pitcher's spot came up in the bottom of the inning, Tracy allowed his ace to bat.

Jimenez started the eighth allowing a single to Scott Podsednik and a walk to Ryan Theriot, and was at 123 pitches with Andre Ethier coming to the plate. This was a perfect opportunity to bring in Joe Beimel, a left-handed pitcher, to face Ethier, who is hitting .236/.281/.358 against southpaws this year and .248/.310/.377 in his career. However, Tracy left Ubaldo in, and he promptly allowed an RBI double on his 127th pitch to tie the game at one.

동점을 허용하고 난 후 캠프를 삼진처리하고 로니를 거른 후 블레이크에게 GS을 맞았습니다. 록스 입장에서는 올스타 브레이크 이후 삽질중인 로니를 선택한 것이 옳은 선택이었을거 같은데, 결과론적으로 그들은 좌타자인 로니를 거르고 우타자인 블레이크를 상대하면서 옳지 못한 결과가 되어버렸습니다. 트레이시가 상대적으로 젊은 감독이고, old school 타입이라는 소리를 듣지 못했는데도 다저스 시절부터 너무 좌/좌, 우/우에 혈안이 되어있는거 같습니다.

오늘 경기 결과로써 우발도 히메네즈(Ubaldo Jimenez)는 올시즌 커쇼와의 맞대결에서 2패를 기록하게 되었습니다. 다른 선발투수와의 매치업에서는 17승 3패네요.

The break is not confirmed because Carroll hasn’t had it X-rayed, because he doesn’t want to know if the tip of the index finger on his throwing hand actually is broken.

“It doesn’t matter if it is or not,” said Carroll. “It looks broken, but you just deal with it. I don’t think it affects me. It just looks funny.”

Carroll said he suffered the injury taking ground balls on Aug. 3, the day Furcal was disabled with a lower back strain. He said he doesn’t tape the injury, having broken the tip of the middle finger in the past and found the tape didn’t help.

“It’s no big deal,” he said, downplaying the pain. “At this time of the year, everybody is banged up and hurt some place or other.”

그러면서도 8월 성적이 76타수 24안타 8R 7RBI 12BB/10K .316/.416/.368이네요.

Manager Joe Torre gave upbeat injury updates on shortstop Rafael Furcal and starting pitcher Vicente Padilla.

"Raffy had a great day today," Torre said. "He was running and tomorrow he takes ground balls. He's been hitting. He was about as good and as upbeat as he sounded in a while, [trainer] Stan [Conte] said. We're hopeful over the next couple days if he continues to progress, we'll see him Monday at home and maybe at some point next week we'll send him to rehab."

Furcal has been out since Aug. 3 with a lower back strain. Padilla has been out since Aug. 16 with a bulging disk in his neck.

"He threw a bullpen today," Torre said of Padilla. "If that turns out to his liking, it's reasonable to think he's close."

퍼칼은 러닝훈련과 배팅을 하고 있으며, 내일은 수비연습을 할 것이라고 하네요.

다저스가 만약 케롤의 상태가 심각하다고 판단한다면 테리엇이 유격수로 출전하고, 벨리아드가 2루수로 나올 수도 있을거 같습니다.

혹은 (미약하게 가능성은 없지만) 벨리아드를 DFA시켜버리고 이반 데 헤 수스를 조금 더 빨리 끌어올리는 방법도 있지 않을까 싶네요.
