도미니카에서 절친 퍼칼과 몰라보게 수척해진 앤드류의 만남

Andruw Jones made his Dominican Winter League debut last night for Aguilas, going 1 for 2 with a walk and a strikeout while playing center field. He hit fifth in the lineup. (Newly signed Hector Luna hit second).

Jones is expected to play there until Christmas-time when he'll return home for a break. He's expected to play about five weeks there.

Also interesting note is that when he arrived in the Dominican, Jones told reporters that he intended to play for the Netherlands in the World Baseball Classic. That would mean time away from spring training spent playing in Puerto Rico, where pool play is scheduled. Will the Dodgers grant him permission?

He clearly doesn't have problems going international, playing in China last spring. When I visited the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in Tokyo last month, on display was an autographed Jones baseball among others from those who played in the postseason Major League Baseball Japan All-Star Series.

 앤드류 존스가 도미니칸 공화국에 도착했을때 라파엘 퍼칼이 환영해주는 모습인데 몰라보게 수척해진 앤드류 존스의 모습을 볼 수 있습니다.지난번 오프시즌에는 10파운드가량 줄였는데도 크게 와닿지 않았는데 지금은 15파운드 이상 몸무게를 감량한 것 같습니다.(뭐 설마 포샵처리는 아니겠지.) 앤드류 존스는 크리스마스 전까지 도미니칸 리그에서 뛸 예정인데 이미 어제 데뷔를 했고 2타수 1안타 1볼넷 팀의 중견수이자 5번타자로 선발 출장했다고 합니다.크리스마스 때는 집으로 돌아가서 가족과 함께 보낸 이후 다시 도미니카로 돌아와서 뛸 예정이며 총 5주를 뛸 생각이라고 하네요.존스는 WBC에서 네덜란드 대표팀으로 뛸 예정이고 스캠을 푸에르토 리코에서 보낼 예쩡인데 이것을 다저스가 허락할지는 모르겠네요.

 어쨋든 몰라보게 수척해진 앤드류 존스는 이제 좀 중견수 몸매가 나오는것 같고 일단 선구안이나 브레킹볼 대처면에서 어떨지 모르겠으나 09시즌은 계약도 만료되고 뭘 해보겠다란 의지는 강한 것 같습니다.
