Meanwhile, the Dodgers have hired former major league outfielder and former Angels minor league coach and manager Eric Owens as their new, roving minor league hitting coordinator. Owens replaces Gene Clines, who is expected to be assigned to a different role within the system. And John Moses, the Dodgers' Triple-A hitting coach for the past three seasons, said at Tuesday's AFL game that he was let go after the season.

Former major-leaguer Eric Owens has been hired as a roving minor-league hitting instructor, with Gene Clines – mentioned as a mentor in my recent profile of Dee Gordon – targeted for a role with the organization to be determined.

"They said it was because [Dodgers prospect] Xavier Paul didn't improve in the outfield," said Moses, who also had the responsibility of working with outfielders at the Dodgers' Triple-A Albuquerque affiliate. "I was shocked, let's put it that way. A lot of people were. I think the job I did spoke for itself, if you look at the things that happened offensively over the last three years. ... But the way I look at it is, it's their loss."

Moses, a major league outfielder for 11 seasons with Seattle, Minnesota and Detroit, served as both a major and minor league coach with the Cincinnati Reds and a major league coach with the Mariners before coming to the Dodgers.

그리고 08년부터 다저스의 트리플 A팀 타격코치를 역임했던 존 모스(John Moses)가 짤렸습니다. 짤린 이유는 재비어 폴(Xavier Paul)이 외야수로써 성장속도가 더뎠기 때문이라네요. 폴이 무슨 일정수준이상의 포텐셜좋은 유망주도 아니고....너무 억지이유를 붙인 느낌이네요.

콜레티가 얼마전까지는 단장보좌역을 많이 두는 것을 취미로 하더니, 이제는 타격코치를 많이 두는 것에 촛점을 맞춘 모양입니다. 복수의 타격코치(물론 마이너 인스터럭터도 포함해서)를 두고 싶다고 하네요. 해서 핸슨도 그 일환으로 접근한듯 싶습니다.

코코 크리숍(Coco Crisp)의 2011년 옵션이 실행되었다고 자신의 트윗에다가 글을 올렸다는군요. 마틴님과 함께 크리숍의 옵션이 거절되기만을 바랐는데, 이제 중견수 영입은 사실상 물건너 갔다고 생각되어집니다.

애틀란타가 Kyle Farnsworth의 옵션을 거절했는데, 다저스가 관심이 있는지는 모르겠네요.

그리고 오늘은 레즈의 자케티 단장이 그들의 옵션 선수에 대해 실행여부를 발표할 것이라고 했는데, 하랑의 옵션을 거절될거 같습니다.

오늘 하랑의 기록을 찾아봤는데, 올시즌 22경기(20선발)을 했는데, 7~8월에 부상으로 나오질 못했더군요.

흥미(?)로운 점은 부상당하기 전까지 17경기(17선발)에서 100.1이닝을 던지면서 118피안타 28BB/75K 15HR 5.02ERA를 기록했었습니다. 많은 안타를 맞고 평균자책점도 형편없지만, 경기당 5.8이닝 정도는 소화해줬는데, 부상에서 돌아와서는 5경기(3선발) 11.1이닝 21피안타 7.94ERA를 기록했더군요.

어떤 부상을 당했는지는 안찾아봐서 모르겠는데, 부상복귀 후 투구 이닝이 4, 2.1, 1, 2, 2이닝을 던졌습니다. 얼마전까지 하랑도 고려해봤으면 어떨까 하는 제 생각이 참 부끄럽게 느껴지네요.
