쉐릴 부상???

An MRI on Dodgers reliever George Sherrill's right oblique was negative and he was available for Wednesday night's game against the Rockies.

Sherrill was unavailable during Tuesday night's extra-inning loss because of a mysterious discomfort he felt during pregame warmups. He last pitched Saturday, getting a save, and said he had no discomfort either Sunday or Monday.

"I have no idea how it happened," Sherrill said. "It just tightened up and I took it slow and they did the MRI to make sure it wasn't something major. It reacted good to treatment. I threw a bullpen [15 pitches] this afternoon and it went good. Everything's good."

But everything wasn't good Tuesday night when Sherrill was unavailable. Manager Joe Torre used four relievers over the final 3 2/3 innings and three of them -- Ronald Belisario, Hong-Chih Kuo and loser James McDonald -- allowed runs. Torre said Sherrill "would have been in the game" in one of those slots had he been available.
어제 온갖 언론에서 왜 연장전에서 쉐릴을 등판시키지 않았느냐는 질타를 받았는데, 쉐릴이 알수 없는 부상을 당해서 어제 경기에 출전하지 않았다고 합니다.

일단 MRI촬영결과는 negative로 나왔습니다.

현지시간으로 토요일에 펼쳐진 경기에서 세이브를 기록한 후 다음날과 월요일에 아무런 이상도 못 느꼈는데 어제 경기 전 워밍업과정에서 몸에 이상을 느꼈다고 합니다. 일단 오늘 경기전 워밍업에서는 15개의 불펜피칭을 했는데, 괜찮았다고 하는군요.

조쉬 벨까지 내주고 영입한 투수에게서 이런 소식은 별로 유쾌하지가 않군요.
