Billingsley Linked To Roy Halladay

 

Yahoo's Gordon Edes offers some updates on the latest Roy Halladay rumors. He mentions that Clayton Kershaw remains untouchable, despite his name popping up daily. He also goes on to mention that the Dodgers have had internal discussions about the possibility of moving Chad Billingsley. Billingsley is by far the biggest name mentioned in the trade rumors forHalladay. Call me crazy but if Ned Colletti makes a deal involving Chad Billingsley, I will never forgive him. Edes did say that it was purely internal discussions. Here is my take on this, one of two things is going on here. The first is the report ofBillingsley being traded is purely absurd, false, and ridiculous, so with all that we can all sleep well knowing Bills isn't going anywhere. The other is this is some type of ploy to drive up the price even more for Halladay, if you can believe that. Either way rest assured unless Colletti wants to hang himself he won't deal Billingsley. Kershaw is a stretch just him alone, let's hope Collettti doesn't screw this up. This thing makes no sense under any circumstances. We are the best team in baseball,someone explain why we need to trade Billingsley or Kershaw for Halladay. What exactly is that accomplishing?

With Halladay's probability of being traded decreasing by the hour, it seems the rumors are still picking up some momentum. Halladay made it very clear if he were to be traded, the deal would have to get done today. With no deal apparently close it seems Halladay may be staying put.

 

 오늘 경기를 보면서 사이트를 돌아다니면서(이번 시리즈에서 득점권에서 17타수 2안타를 치고 2경기에 1득점한 타선을 놔두고 1점도 안 내주려는 피칭을 한 투수 탓을 왜 하는지 모르겠지만..구위가 좋았던 빌링슬리가 멘탈면에서 조금 아쉬웠다라고 하면 이해하겠지만) 채드 빌링슬리를 내보내고 로이 할러데이나 클리프 리 데려오자란 글을 많이 봤습니다.더 오버해서 플레이오프 올라가면 원-투 펀치 문제로 셧아웃 당하면서 엘리미네이션 당할거라는 글까지도 봤을 정도였으니.오늘 경기 보면서 다저 팬이라면 누구라도 짜증났겠지만 그건 경기를 보면 순간적으로 생기는 감정들인거고 별 말도 안되는 소리를 하는 팬들을 보면 좀 어이가 없더군요.

 

 본론으로 돌아와서 지역 언론 칼럼리스트들중에도 있고 다저스 팬들중에도 채드 빌링슬리를 내보내고 로이 할러데이나 클리프 리를 데려오자란 미친 소리를 하는 사람들이 있는데 야후 Gordon Edes 가 오늘 로이 할러데이를 영입하려고 보스턴이 오퍼한 선수들을 구체적으로 언급했다가 헛소리라는 이야기가 나오기도 하면 이 구라 아저씨가 다저스 내부적으로 클레이튼 커쇼는 언터쳐블이 맞지만 채드 빌링슬리는 언급이 되고 있다고 이야기했다가 이 소스가 널리 퍼졌죠.이 다저 블로그 주인장의 말대로 Call me crazy but if Ned Colletti makes a deal involving Chad Billingsley, I will never forgive him. 콜레티조차 그렇게 생각하지 않는데 언론이나 팬들이 그러자고 하는건 그동안 콜레티를 욕했다면 그럴 자격도 없다고 할만큼 채드 빌링슬리를 내주는건 로이 할러데이 능력과는 별개로 '검증된 에이스'에 현혹된 헛소리라고 볼 수 있습니다.

 

 The Dodgers don't intend to break up their major league roster, meaning pitchers Clayton Kershaw and Chad Billingsley are off-limits (LA-TIMES)  오늘 나온 타임지 기사처럼 빅리그 로스터에 어떤 선수도 내주지 않으려는 다저스는 로이 할러데이나 클리프 리 영입을 할 수 없다는게 현실적인 이야기이고 왜 빌링슬리나 커쇼를 주고 이들을 데려와야 한다고 생각하는지 올해 올인하자란 마인드로도 도저히 이해를 할 수가 없죠.
