Despite having their offensive struggles during the week, the Dodgers still ended up winning four of six.  By sweeping the Mets and taking a game against the Angels, the Dodgers ended the week with a bigger lead in the division (7½ games) than when they started (6 games).
다저스는 한 주동안 공격력에서 많은 문제점을 노출했지만, 4-2를 기록했습니다. freeway series에서 졌음에도 메츠와의 3연전을 스윕했기때문에 한 주의 성적은 좋았습니다.

Dodger Batter of the Week:  Casey Blake continued his torrid hitting, putting up a .500/.571/.778 after starting the week with a tight hamstring.  Blake is hitting .373/.436/.672 in May, with 15 runs and 13 RBI in 20 games.
이띠어의 경미한 부상과 부진, 주전의 off로 올시즌 처음으로 하위타선이 아닌곳에 드러섰던 블레이크는 그에 대한 보답이나 한듯 3안타로 자신의 상승세를 이어갔습니다. 메츠와의 두번째 경기부터 출장했지만, 한 주 타율이 높고, 5월에는 373/436/672와 15득점 13타점을 기록했습니다.

Dodger Pitcher of the Week:  The Dodger bullpen had a strong week collectively, but the standout was Jonathan Broxton, who pitched five scoreless innings.  He pitched in all three games in the Mets series, then pitched two scoreless innings Saturday night to get his fifth victory of the year.  He is the fastest Dodger reliever to reach five wins since Charlie Hough in 1976.
사실상 선발투수에게 주는게 보통의 일이지만 이번주 다저스 선발은 암울했고, 그 영광은 브락스턴에게 돌아갔습니다. 오늘 발표된 espn파워랭킹에서도 브락스턴의 얘기만을 차지할 만큼 그는 올시즌 좋은 모습을 이어가고 있습니다. 찰리 허프 이후로 릴리프로는 가장 빨리 5승에 도달한 다저스 선수라고 하는군요.

시즌을 통틀어 게임당 5.5점을 넘었던 다저스의 공격력이 지난주에는 많이 줄었지만, 게임당 득점 허용 역시 조금 줄었습니다. 일단 이번주에 스털츠가 돌아오기때문에 선발진의 숨통이 트이지 않을까 싶습니다.

이런걸 헤아리는군요. Mrs. Ramirez가 돌아오기까지 34게임, 39일이 남았다는군요.

Upcoming Week:  The Dodgers face a huge test this week, as they not only go on the road to Colorado for three games and Wrigley Field for four games, but they also will likely get two starts each from Eric Stults and Eric Milton, including two nationally televised games next weekend on Fox and ESPN.
오호! 다음주에 전국방송 타는게 두번이나 되는군요. 찾아보니 컵스와의 3번째 경기는 FSN, 4번째 경기는 ESPN Sunday Night Baseball이 중계를 하더군요. 아무래도 작년에 복수를 컵스는 꿈꾸겠죠. 하지만 현실은 메츠 = 컵스라는게 조금은 위안이 될것입니다. 그들은 여전히 부상자와 부진자들로 힘들어하고 있답니다.

Second baseman Orlando Hudson was momentarily down but not out after a seventh-inning collision with right fielder Jamie Hoffmann, whose elbow knocked Hudson in the head when the pair converged on Morales' pop-up. Hudson made the catch before falling to the ground.

"He's a big boy," Hudson said of the 6-foot-3, 235-pound rookie. "Of course he knocked me down."

Was it a rookie mistake?

"Anybody could have done that," Hudson said. "Me and [Andre] Ethier have done that before. I've done that with the best in the game. It happens."

Hudson stayed in the game and extended his career-high hitting streak to 14 games with an infield single in the eighth. He doubled in the ninth and is hitting .361 during the streak.
오늘 경기 팝플라이 처리과정에서 호프먼과 부딛쳤던 헛슨의 상태는 괜찮다고 합니다. 제 기억으로 벌써 두 번째인거 같습니다. 그의 수비범위가 넓고 잘한다는건 알지만 의욕보다는 서로간의 확실한 콜플레이와 양보가 필요하지 않을까 싶네요.

He concedes he's not at 100 percent and probably won't be for a while.

"It's still sore, but I can throw my pitches effectively," said Stults. "The doctor said it would be a little while before the pain goes away, but I won't be doing any damage by pitching. It's a nagging thing and it might be sore for weeks."
내일 선발예정인 스털츠는 아직까지 공을 던질때 쓰리다고 합니다. 하지만 자신은 괜찮다고 하네요. 일단 만일의 사태를 대비한 어떠한 코맨트가 아직까지는 없네요. 일단 스털츠 다음날이 밀튼이기때문에 위버가 대기하고 있지 않을까 싶습니다.

Close call for Schmidt

A line drive grazed Jason Schmidt's head Saturday during the third inning of his first rehabilitation start for triple-A Albuquerque, but the right-hander was not seriously injured.

"He was fine," Torre said. "He never lost consciousness or anything. He came out of the game and it broke the skin, but that was about it."

Schmidt, recovering from shoulder surgery that has sidelined him since the 2007 season, gave up five hits and two runs in 2 2/3 innings. He had no walks or strikeouts.

Torre said he expected Schmidt to make his next rehab start in five days unless he experienced headaches as a result of the blow.

현지시간으로 토요일 엘버커키에서 리헵을 했지만, 타구에 맞아 강판되었던 슈밋이 괜찮다고 하네요. 일단 그의 두개골이 멀쩡하다면 예정된 다음 등판일에는 경기에 나설것이라고 합니다. 팔은 이제 다 아팠으니 다른곳에서 엄살이네요. 양키스에 파바노가 있었다면 다저스에는 슈밋인가요? 양대리그의 역사를 대변하는 구단들에서 하는 짓이란....

"I got to meet Torii Hunter," he said. "Growing up, I watched two guys -- Kirby Puckett and Hunter. It was really cool to get to meet him. He's a great outfielder and fun to watch. He's a legend in Minnesota; everybody loves him."
이 녀석 스파인가요?ㅡ.ㅡ;; 일단 미네소타 출신이라서 커비 퍼켓과 헌터의 팬이었다고 하네요.

맥도날드는 아직 정신 못차렸나봅니다. 스털츠와 구로다가 돌아온다면
빌링슬리, 구로다, 울프, 커쇼, 스털츠에 스윙맨으로 위버(or 밀튼)로 이어진다면 이 녀석은 기억에서도 잊어질거 같네요.
어떻게 보면 빅리그보다 더 타이트할거 같은 PCL에서 몸과 마음을 더 거칠게 다뤄 스스로 성장해야 할거 같네요.
